    Sheri Hungler She/Her

As secretary of Emergengc, I draw on my experience as a survivor of spiritual abuse to help others navigate the path of healing. I’m passionate about creating spaces where people feel safe, validated and free to share their stories without fear of judgment. Through my role, I combine organizational skills with heartfelt advocacy working to ensure every survivor knows they are not alone.

I believe in the power of community, the importance of honest conversations, and the beauty of watching someone re discover their voice after it’s been silence. Serving with Emerge allows me to combine my passion of advocacy with my desire to see every survivor step into free and live with dignity, self trust, and peace.

  • RJ Les He/They/Kuya

My name is RJ, and I have the honor of serving as the Community Director for Emerge New Growth Community. My journey to this role is deeply personal. There was a time in my life when I felt lost—spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and socially. Survival was my focus; faith felt like a distant concept. My relationships were strained, my career was unraveling, and I was living in deep financial scarcity. I had built walls so high that anyone who tried to break through was met with resistance and regret.

But instead of remaining in that place of pain, I chose a different path—one rooted in service to others. That decision led me to Emerge, through the encouragement and care of previous leaders and dear friends, Jeremy and Charlie Russo. Emerge became a place where I was reminded of who I truly am: a compassionate, humble man, capable of healing and growth. It was there that I met my life coach, Lissa Bradford and others who, like me, were searching for what it truly means to have faith—in self, in others, and in something greater.

Today, I lead with a deep commitment to preserving and expanding the mental health support and compassionate care that changed my life. I believe in the power of transparent integrity and in uplifting the people around me to step into their own strength. Every person is their own compass—and their own hourglass. It’s my mission to walk beside them as they discover that for themselves.

  • Lisa Miller

    Lisa Miller She/Her

Hi, I’m Lisa Miller, and I’m proud to be a part of the Emerge community serving as Social Media Director!

I believe in the power of safe spaces, honest conversations, and radical inclusion. My soul and heart is grounded in compassion, authenticity, and a deep commitment to personal and collective healing.

As an overcomer of multiple layers of faith based abused, I used to believe that to change the culture I had to dive deeper into it. I discovered I couldn’t change what didn’t want to change and started down my own journey of healing and wholeness where I have learned that I can create healing communities anywhere and everywhere I go because it’s the culture I carry within myself. My heart and soul strive to host community where people can be their most authentic healed and whole self. A community that hosts resources for the help needed and community so the loneliness of disconnection looses it’s grip on puprose of healing and self development.

At Emerge, I’ve found a community that reflects so much of what I stand for: love, healing, empowerment, and belonging. I’m here to hold space, and contribute to a culture where everyone—regardless of who they are or where they’ve been—can find support, connection, and a place to thrive.
